UPDATE-------------Some scores are in

ALL SCORES ARE NOW IN 5:30 pm Monday
----------------------------------------------------

Some Regents scores have started coming back from the state.  About 25% are still "missing."  You can call Guidance starting tomorrow about them.  I will not have an opportunity to email you grades, or even answer emails.

Remember, a passing regents score does not mean you passed the course.

Congrats to all who passed, and a special congrats to those who hit 85+.  NYS considers that to be Mastery Level.  Excellent job!

Regents Exam & Course Final Grades

The US History Regents Exam has been graded.  I believe it was being sent to the State for scores Friday afternoon.  It is unlikely we'll have results back on Monday but maybe on Tuesday.  Contact your GUIDANCE COUNSELOR to see if scores are n.  We are grading the Global Exam starting Monday and I will not be near a computer to answer emails, plus I get the grades after your Counselor does (since they go directly into Eschool.)

Final course grades will not be available until sometime Wednesday afternoon, but the end of the school day.

4th MP grades are finalized in Thinkwave.  Any extra points you may have earned fro review will not be reflected in Thinkwave but will be o your 4th MO average in Eschool.

Last Reminders

This. Is. It.

  • Get a good night's sleep tonight - tired people fail exams!
  • Eat breakfast before you get here - hungry people fail exams!
  • Go to the bathroom before entering the gym - you must wait at least 1 hour before you can get up, & then you will lose all that time standing on line.

As a reminder, you MUST have:
  • Multiple IDENTICAL standard blue or black pens - ball point ink, NOT GEL PENS!
  • Your current school ID to enter the building

As a reminder, you CANNOT have:
  • Electronics of ANY kind
  • Earbuds of ANY kind
  • Review books, notes, etc.
  • Anything other than a small pocketbook.  Backpacks, book bags, and anything else bigger than the size of a sheet of paper folded in half will not be permitted & must be checked with security when you enter the building
  • Food.  Eat before you come to the exam.  It's a Regents, not Starbucks or the mall food court.  You MAY have an unopened, clear bottle of water, but you may NOT have your own water bottle.

Other things to remember:
  • ALL BAGS WILL BE SEARCHED.
  • Base your clothing choices on the weather & school dress code.  You are there for 3 hours in one spot - do you really want the back of your thighs sticking to the seat for that long?
  • It is supposed to rain in the morning - be at your bus stop early so you don't miss the bus
  • Regular bus stop at your regular pick up time tomorrow
  • Know your Row & seat number OR room number, otherwise you're going on a hunt for it yourself.
  • If you are late for the exam, you lose that time
  • The exam is 3 hours long.  You will be there for the full 3 hours.  No one will be released early, and if you choose to walk out your exam will be invalidated.
  •  You either prepped yourself all year or you are gong to have a difficult struggle tomorrow.  There is no time to cry, zone out, or nap.  Either be confident in the work & review you have done or learn from the error of your ways for next year, which ever may apply to you.

6/14 & 6/17 HW Exemptions & Thinkwave

Any HW grades that need to be adjusted due to 6/14 or 6/17 reviews, if you qualify, will be done after the 6/17 review.  Regular HW grades will go in until then.

Again, if you qualify for the exemption(s), it will be adjusted in your Thinkwave after the final regents Review on Monday.

Final Exam

1.  Yes, you have a final exam.  See the separate post with all the periods, dates, & times to see when yours is.

2.  No, there are no exemptions since this is not a half-year elective.

3.  You are required to have with you:
  • Standard blue or black pens (no gel pens or erasable ink)
  • Working highlighter
  • US History Review Book
  • Paper (about 10 sheets should do)
To not have any if these items is to be unprepared for your final exam & you will receive a score of 0.  If you are late, you will receive a score of 0 for your final exam.
