TEST Friday 12/7: Chapter 7 Exam

Your Chapter 7 Exam will be on Friday 12/7.  The Quizlet Review has been open since November 10th.  If you have been in class, paid attention, done your homework, and study you should do very well on the test.  STUDY THE REVIEW IN QUIZLET - it was made using the material on your exam.  As a reminder, any information from Chapters 1-4 can show up on the exam, so be sure to review those chapters in Quizlet after you study for the current chapter.

You Chapter 7 Video packet is due at the start of class on this day as well.

Make up for legal absences is before school (per my make-up policy), last day to make up is Tuesday, 12/11.  Failure to make-up the exam will result in a zero for that test.  Cuts & illegal absences cannot be made up, and anyone late to class will not receive extra time on the exam.  Make-up period ends at 7:15 AM.  TO have the same amount of time for the test as was offered in lass, you must arrive to 1823 by 6:45 AM.  You can arrive after that time, but your time ends at 7:15 AM.

If you can't come before school to make up the exam don't be absent for it!

The test will NOT be a full period so please bring your regular required supplies with you to class that day.

Updates: 11/7

I was in yesterday to meet your parents, but I am fighting off pneumonia & my doctor is requiring me to stay home today.  He was really mad I went in yesterday but it was very important for me to meet your parents.

I will be back tomorrow after the antibiotics kick in & he releases me.  Here are the updates:

Absent work from 11/1 (see original post) is due at the start of your lass tomorrow, Thursday, 11/7.

Ch 6 Vocab Quiz is now Thursday, 11/7.  Vocab words due at that time.  New make-up dates are 11/8 & 11/13, same place & time as stated in the original.

Ch 9 Sec 1,2,3 HWQ will likely be tomorrow, 11/8. after your Vocab Quiz.  New make-up dates are 11/8 & 11/13, same place & time as stated in the original.

Anything due Thursday, 11/8 is still due with those make-up dates unchanged.

Your Ch 6 Exam has been moved to Wednesday, 11/15 make-up date is ONLY Thursday, 11/16.  Your Ch 6 Packet is due 11/15.

These are your last grades for the marking period (including Monday & today's sub work.)  All assignments due as of 11/13 will count for the SECOND marking period.

Required work & deadline if absent on 11/1/18

If you were absent today you missed this essay & must do it at home.  It is due no later than Monday, 11/5/18 at the start of your class period.  ANYONE ABSENT IS REQUIRED TO MAKE UP THIS ASSIGNMENT.  If it is not submitted by the deadline, you will receive a zero.  If you are legally absent from school on 11/5, please email me for further instructions NO LATER THAN 11/5/18,  5 PM.  Failure to do so may result in your missing the make-up deadline.

Essay:

4 pages (2 sheets, both sides used.)
HEADING:
You F&L Name, you class period, today's date (11/1/18), & "Hamilton V. Jefferson."

You are to do the following in essay form (you can use your  V. J cart in your otes.)

Write several paragraphs, including an introduction & conclusion, in which you address the following:
 Which plan was better for the united States: Hamilton's or Jefferson's?

You MUST:
- Explain at least  reasons why Hamilton's ideas were best fro the US
- Explain at least 5 reasons why Jefferson;s ideas were best for the US
- Decide which of the 2 you would have joined and a detailed explanation as to why you think that person's plan(s) is better.  This must be at least 7-10 sentences.

Be mindful that since you are doing this at home & not under the same conditions as those who wrote it in class, your essay will be scrutinized for plagiarism, & it is expected that it will be the minimum of 4 pages.
