January Regents Exam

The Thematic was challenging on Tuesday's exam.  Not only were the documents long & the questions worded very differently from the past, the essay topic itself was on specific government programs.  Details was required about the facts that led to each (you had to write about 2), the government's response, the impact of the problem on the groups involved, and prove the success or failure of the program.  The included American policies in South Vietnam, the Kansas-Nebraska Act, the Indian Removal Act & the 14th Amendment.  Glossing over the info with no details required a failing grade, per the State scoring guidelines.

The multiple choice had longer readings than normal & several questions per reading, in graduated difficulty.  This is what we think we will see in June.

If you weren't worried enough to d your work before the 3rd MP, it just might be able to pull of the Regents.  If you wait even one more week, it's over.  But remember I told you last week about how they like programs & Constitutional issues...and there it was.

You should listen to me.  I know what I'm talking about...
